Update!
November 22nd, 2009Ahhhh! Finally! After many months, there is finally an update on here! Well, chimaera the administrator is very busy with life and such, and this site has been relatively ignored. That’s when I came along and asked if I could start updating this site to keep those who love Tame Impala as much as I do up to date on the happenings of the band! Well, since it’s been a while, there’s actually a fairly good amount to cover…
First of all, I have to mention the release of their vinyl.

In July of 2009, Tame Impala released a 7 inch vinyl of their newest recorded song, Sundown Syndrome, with a cover of Blue Boy’s Remember Me as the B-Side. You can purchase that here.
- Tame’s Recording Space
Second, the boys have just about finished recording their debut album! They recorded it in a home studio about 3 hours outside of Perth on the Margaret River at a place called Indjidup. But, more importantly, during the two months that they spent recording, Kevin didn’t shave his beard!

Sadly, he shaved it after they finished recording and continues to play shows smooth-shaven…
There is no set release date, but according to Tame Impala, it sounds wonderful.

And finally, I must share that there are lots of Tame Impala shows going on in Australia, and they’ve been playing like mad around the country. Most notably, they will be playing the Big Day Out festival this year. You can see a full list of shows here.
